  •  Why didn't someone tell me before?
     Dated:  Saturday, August 26 2006 @ 02:08 PM CDT
PaintingI've been having trouble getting my priming to work the way I want it to. I started off using standard Krylon spray paint, because that's what was available at Limey Dragon Games & Hobbies. I bought a can of Krylon primer and I've been using it on the last dozen or so models. I like the way my paint went on to it better, but I had trouble getting it to cover the way I wanted to.

Every time I used it, my coat would be too thin and come off easily or too thick and have a funny texture. I finally discovered the root of the problem. When they were telling me how to prime the models initially, no one told me that it's supposed to go on as two or more thin coats. I kept trying to get everything on in one coat on each side.

I should get much better results in the future.
